Yusuf Taleb

About

Yusuf birding with binoculars from a boardwalk in the Okanagan

I'm Yusuf, a naturalist based in Kelowna, British Columbia. I'm happiest outdoors with binoculars or a camera, and that's where most of my questions begin: why does life look the way it does, and how did it come to be where it is?

On a free day you'll find me birding, hiking, photographing wildlife, or lost in a book or a documentary. I'm just as happy over a tabletop game, a football match, or a round of table tennis, and I can lose an entire afternoon in a natural history museum. I also founded Sirb to share biodiversity and conservation with Arabic-speaking audiences.
